Peaceful protestors do not throw Molotov cocktails and carry guns

Your continued printing of hateful anti-Semitic ranting by Gulamhusein Abba is disturbing and disappointing (“‘Palestinian Gandhi’ welcomed with a hail of Israeli bullets,” Wednesday, April 11). It is not dignified to have to refute his many distortions. Let’s just say that if you were a country and were attacked by terrorists who were being paid, you’d have a very strong and justified response.
People who peacefully protest are not throwing Molotov cocktails, burning thousands of tires, and carrying guns. Where is Abba’s outrage at the gassed Syrian children? If Israel is not to blame, he’s clearly not inflamed. It’s a one-sided condemnation that shows his prejudice.
If that is who Abba is rooting for, he’s certainly not on my team, or anyone else concerned with Israel’s right to exist. Never again will we be slaughtered and the world remains silent. Those days are over, Abba.
I would urge the newspaper to be more vigilant about not printing hateful, long-winded racist rhetoric in the future and at least make factual corrections and have balanced responses.
