Tracking the movement of Lord Kallazhagar during Chithirai festival from Alagarkoil to Vandiyur and back is now possible at a touch on the mobile phone, thanks to a new initiative of Madurai Rural police.

The police have enabled a new facility on their “Madurai Kavalan” app. Lord Kallazhagar will leave the temple at Alagarkoil on April 28 for entry into the Vaigai, which will take place at Alwarpuram. The route of the procession can be tracked through “Track Alagar” facility. People can download Madurai Kavalan app from Google Playstore and update it to enable “Track Alagar” link. So far, over 2,700 people have downloaded the app in their mobile phones.
