Striker Irfan Yadwad netted a brace while medio Meuton Fernandes and defender Danston Fernandes scored one goal each as Snows Football Academy, Raia thrashed Panchwadi United SC 4-0 in the GFA Air Arabia Under-18 Football League match played at artificial turf grounds, Fatorda-Margao on Wednesday.

Snows FA went into the lead as early as in the 8th minute through Irfan, and maintained the slender lead till the teams broke for lemon break. The second session saw the Raia side improve their game by few notches as they went on to add three more goals. Irfan once again struck in the 50th minute to complete his brace, while Meuton found the mark in the 76th minute followed by Danston, who bulged the nets in the 80+2 minute.

Panchwadi United played very well in the first session, but seemed to have lost the calm and composure in the second half, allowing Snows FA make most of the opportunity as they pumped in three more goals.

Panchwadi keeper Floyd Pereira could do nothing to stop the Snows FA strikers as the their defenders completely bungled and left the goal vulnerable.

Snows FA went into the lead following a good build-up by Travis Soares and Allwyn Miranda, who on entering the box, saw Irfan free and the last-named dashed inside the box and on collecting a through pass shot past the Panchwadi keeper.

Panchwadi thereafter stitched some smart moves but all of their attempts to find the mark failed due to poor conversion abilities. Panchwadi strikers in Myron Fernandes and Altaf Navaloor had some clear chances, but due to urgency in finding the mark, they ended in shooting the ball wide.

The second session saw Panchwadi defender Kevin Fernandes send the ball to onrushing Irfan while trying to clear it to safety. Irfan collected the ball and shot in. Snows FA scored their third goal through substitute Meuton who received a deflection from a Panchwadi defender to bulge the nets. And in the 80+2 minutes of play, Danston Fernandes bulged the nets to make it 4-0 in favour of Snows FA.
