Lake County Central Y to celebrate Children’s Day

The public is welcome to the Lake County Central Y on April 28 to celebrate Children’s Day, or Día Del Niño.

This Latino cultural holiday highlights the importance of loving, accepting and appreciating children in the community.

From 6 to 8 p.m., children and their families are invited for a fun-filled evening of games and activities including Zumba, homemade salsa tasting competition, face painting, 4-square and more activities. Food trucks will be on premises to sell traditional Latino foods such as tacos, quesadillas, mango smoothies and ice cream.

Activities at the Central Y, 933 Mentor Ave. in Painesville, are free for all to participate.
