KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reached Siraha district in a bid to promote the Student Enrollment Campaign launched by Nepal Government on the first day of the new Bikram Sambat calendar.

Prime Minister Oli today enrolled Rupa Kumari Mandal and Pawan Mallik from Khatwe and Dom communities, respectively, at the Ram Dulari Secondary School in Kalyanpur.

Likewise, the PM has made an appeal to everyone to be a part of this campaign and take educational guardianship of children deprived of education. The campaign was initiated by the Government of Nepal, through a Cabinet decision, to eradicate illiteracy.

Earlier, PM Oli had officially launched the campaign by enrolling Thinle Sangmu Lama in a school in Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality, Mugu.

Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa takes educational guardianship of Rashika Shrestha.

Supporting the campaign, Ministers of the Cabinet, CPN Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa have also undertaken guardianship of children in line with this cause.
