Weather continues to impact the Iowa baseball team’s 2018 schedule, but no postponements or cancellations have been announced for this weekend’s series at Minnesota.

Instead, the first two games of the three-game set will shift to Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins, to allow time for UM’s Siebert Field to be cleared of snow.

Friday’s opener will begin at 4 p.m. and Saturday’s game will get started at 2 p.m.

The Hawkeyes (22-11, 6-4 Big Ten) and 25th-ranked Gophers (23-10, 7-1) will conclude the key conference series Sunday at Siebert Field. BTN is set to broadcast that game at 1 p.m.

Fans can purchase general-admission tickets for Friday and Saturday’s games at the Target Field box office for $8. And Sunday, dogs get in free.

Forecasts for this weekend in Minneapolis look better: a high of 48 degrees Friday, 56 Saturday and 61 Sunday, with plenty of sun.

Iowa has already had Big Ten games against Indiana and Nebraska canceled because of wintry weather this season.
