Police launch new appeal in Dean White case
Homicide squad detectives have launched a fresh appeal in the case of missing man Dean Patrick White, who was last seen in WA's Wheatbelt region last year.
Mr White was last seen on March 31 in Quairading.
The 55-year-old arrived in the town by car from Victoria to visit a friend.
Affectionately known as 'Whitey', he lived a transient lifestyle and was known to travel across Australia in his white Toyota Landcruiser utility.
On Wednesday police said they were now seeking to identify and speak with a family who are believed to have given a lift to a man from the Quairading town site to a camping area to the northern side of the township on or around April 1, 2017.
The man who was provided the lift was Caucasian and about 40 years-old.
Detectives will be manning a Mobile Police Facility on the Quairading-York Road on Wednesday, approximately two kilometres out of town.
