The Prince of Wales and the Prime Minister of India visited the science museum to view the Illuminating India exhibition and meet members of the British Indian communities. The exhibition celebrates India’s role in the history of science and technology by exploring its contributions to subjects including space exploration and engineering.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's royal welcome will include a special event hosted by Prince Charles, during which the heir to the British throne will drive up in a Tata Motors' first-ever electric Jaguar to symbolise the India-UK technical collaboration.
PM Modi’s breakfast menu with British Prime Minister Theresa May will comprise of tea and coffee, poha, upma, puri, bhaji and seera. Later in the day, Prime Minister Modi, along with his delegation team, will be served lunch at the Buckingham's Taj hotel. The lunch will also be prepared under the guidance of Chef Shenoy Karmani. The menu will be high on the specific Gujarat-based delicacies including khaman dhokla, khandvi, dal, dal pakora, torai masala, stuffed karela, paneer bhurji, and khichdi. The food preparations will be done in pure clarified butter.

"A slew of agreements will be signed between India and the UK during the bilateral leg of the visit today. This is a relationship that cuts across all sectors and has reached a very mature level. Modi had landed in Britain from Stockholm overnight for bilateral engagements as well as multilateral discussions as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). He was received at the airport by UK foreign secretary Boris Johnson, who said he was "excited" that India-UK bilateral trade is growing at 15 percent a year and the visit will help build on "huge economic advantages". Both leaders held a late-night meeting at Heathrow airport. "A real pleasure to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UK. Lots to discuss on UK-India bilateral issues - tech collaboration, trade, healthcare opportunities and more," Johnson said. "Another chapter in modern partnership bound by strong historical ties," added the ministry of external affairs (MEA).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the achievements of Indian athletes at the Commonwealth Games and especially mentioned pugilist MC Mary Kom and shuttler Saina Nehwal in his address to the Indian diaspora in Sweden. Addressing the Indian community at the Stockholm University here yesterday, Modi said that India's stature has increased at the world stage. Lauding the achievements of Indian athletes, the prime minister said, "The achievements of Mary Kom and Saina Nehwal make our hearts swell with pride." Mary Kom became the first Indian woman boxer to claim a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast in Australia while badminton star Nehwal won women's singles gold at the Games this month. In his address, Modi said the country is going through a period of change and the government is working day and night for the country's prestige, self-respect and taking it to new heights in the 21st century.
According to official estimates, the India-UK bilateral trade stands at USD 13 billion, with the UK among the largest G20 investors in India. Modi's visit will have a particular focus on the India-UK technological partnership as well as an enhanced role in the Commonwealth. "India's engagement is absolutely brilliant there is a recognition that the Commonwealth offers a great opportunity for India and within that opportunity lies an opportunity for the rest of the Commonwealth," says Lord Marland, chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).

After an interaction with Indian-origin scientists working on cancer research, malaria and other tropical diseases, both leaders will initiate the India-UK CEOs Forum. Modi is then scheduled for a private audience with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace before the 'Bharat Ki Baat, Sabke Saath' diaspora event, to be telecast live from the iconic Central Hall Westminster in London today. At the end of the live telecast, he will join Heads of Government from 52 other Commonwealth countries at a dinner hosted by the British prime minister as a formal welcome to CHOGM.
