The Senior Golf Association (SGA) begins its 36th season May 7, with the first of nine tournaments.
The SGA is a group of senior citizens who play golf for fun, companionship, relaxation and friendly competition. It is open to all golfers age 55 and older.
To maintain fair competition and enjoyment for all members, events are organized into four different handicap flights (0 to 32). A variety of different types of tournaments are contested, including individual, 2-man, and 4-man events.
Membership is $7 per year. Each tournament costs $32, which includes 18-hole green fees and cart.
The SGA encourages all senior golfers to join in the fun by becoming a member and joining for the first tournament on May 7.
