RTI tax abatement approved

$4.1M investment to go toward expansion

The Rainsville City Council met Monday to discuss a new tax abatement for the new expansion of Rainsville Technology Inc.

Mayor Rodger Lingerfelt introduced Pam Clay, agency director of business retention and expansion with the Economic Development Authority, along with two other administrative members from RTI, Bob Brune, vice president of administration and Shane Gilliland, plant manager. Clay discussed the application for a $4.1 million investment RTI will be making to obtain the new equipment for the expansion.
