BETHEL — The town is searching for a firm that could provide professional services for the elementary schools renovation project.
The town has requested proposals from commissioning agents or other firms for the work.
Voters approved in the fall the $65.8 million project to renovate the aging Rockwell and Johnson elementary schools. A state grant is expected to cover part of the cost of the project. Construction could start in the winter and last about two years.
A site walk will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Johnson. Proposals are due at 1 p.m. May 8 to the town’s purchasing agent.
