Longmont's due for a significantly less windy day than Tuesday, with National Weather Service forecasters predicting today's winds will be in the 6 mph to 8 mph range — a far cry from the powerful gusts that uprooted trees around town Tuesday afternoon.
Today is expected to be sunny with a high near 58, before temperatures drop down to 30 overnight.
Thursday's forecast call for mostly sunny skies and a high near 66, with a 20 percent chance of showers after midnight.
Friday should see a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 52.
There's also a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, with a high near 56.
Sunday should see a warm-up, with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 67.
