Taunton scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to overcome a four-run deficit and then used a Trevor Pietrzyk sacrifice fly in the sixth to help the Tigers defeat visiting Durfee 6-5 in non-league baseball action Wednesday.

Durfee's Lucas Sousa went the distance for the Hilltoppers, striking out seven in his six innings of work. He allowed eight hits and walked two.

The Hilltoppers, who scored three first-inning runs, keyed by a run-scoring Brett Fonseca single, finished with seven hits. No Durfee player had more than one hit.

Ismael Moreno, who had a bases-loaded walk in the three-run first, scored twice for Durfee.

Durfee fell to 2-2.
