Ensure power, drinking water to masses: Barnwal

Principle Secretary to Chief Minister and Secretary of Information and Public Relations Department Sunil Kumar Barnwal today directed officials across the State to ensure drinking water and power supply in the State.

He said that the Government aims to provide electricity to every household before Diwali so officers should work at the war level in the direction of power supply.

Barnwal reviewed 11 complaints lodged in Jansamvad Kendra at Suchna Bhawan and through video conferencing instructed officials to accelerate the execution of pending complaints in various departments. The Secretary gave strict instruction to nodal officer of Palamu, Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Chatra, Giridih and Hazaribagh for poor execution of complains. He also instructed all the districts to accelerate the execution of complains within a week or action will be taken against officer of the districts with 1000 pending complains in next week.

Construction of Pumping shed worth 25 lakh under minor irrigation in 2012-13 is not competed in Saraikela Kharsawa. The secretary gave strict instruction to Nodal officer to depute an Executive Magistrate and investigate the matter. After investigation complete the construction and take action against guilty officers.

Despite the construction of the water tower two years ago in the Pinargaria village of Dumka, water supply was not ensured.

On this nodal officer said that due to poor condition of transformer drinking water supply could not be done. Estimate for transformer has been sent to energy department.

The secretary issuing a Show-cause notice to nodal officer of electrical department directed to ensure drinking water supply within a week.

In the matter of not maintain the provision of drinking water and toilet in Primary school of in Darbas Bero of Sahebganj and in Scheduled Tribal High School of Gumla.

The Secretary issued a Show-cause notice to project director of Gumla for unnecessary delays in execution of work and instructed to execute the matter in both the districts immediately.

NH 33 has been constructed by cutting the mountain in Hesagarha Panchayat of Ramgarh but because of stones falling from mountain, there is always a possibility of accidents. So far no action has been taken by the department on this complain. The secretary issued Show-cause notice to guilty officers and directed to execute the problem within a week.

Barnwal briefed about the People’s awareness programme by Jansamvad Kendra and said that the objective of the programme is to reach to the masses, give information about the schemes and Jansamvad Kendra.

There was also a special review of Women and child Development and Social Welfare Department, in which Barnwal directed the departmental officials to execute complains in given time.
