Rural Innovators’ Meet to be held in Wayanad

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rural Innovators’ Meet (RIM) 2018, an annual event for innovators, especially those from rural areas, will be organized by Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), in association with M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) at Community Agro Biodiversity Centre, Puthoorvayal, Kalpetta in Wayanad. It will be a platform for exchange of ideas for product upgradation.
The three-day event, which will begin on May 13, will also provide a platform for the innovators to understand marketing methods, issues pertaining to intellectual property rights (IPR), micro financing and to discuss the various problems and challenges faced by them.

An exhibition of the products, technologies, ideas and so on by innovators from rural areas will be an added attraction. The contest will select the top innovators and confer them with the ‘Innovation of the Year’ award, rural innovation awards and other special awards. Those interested can apply before April 20.
