Prime Minister Narendra Modi held wide-ranging talks with his British Counterpart Theresa May in London today on redefining and infuse new energy into India-UK relations especially post Brexit.
The two leaders discussed ways to boost cooperation between the two countries.
The bilateral discussions also reflected wide-ranging issues including progress made on Defence and security cooperation since British Prime Minister visited India two years ago.
They also discussed working together closely to combat terrorism, radicalisation and online extremism.
Cooperation between both the countries on legal matters and global free trade and investment also figured during the discussions.
Later, an official release said the chemical weapons attack in Salisbury and Syria also figured during the discussions and the two leaders opposed the use of chemical weapons by any party in any circumstances.
The two sides agreed on commercial deals worth one billion pound on the recommendations of the UK-India Joint Trade Review to reduce trade barriers and improve ease of doing business.
The two leaders also agreed on UK-India Tech Partnership which is expected to create a number of jobs and generate significant investment in the economies.
