Muthuraj takes over as Development Commissioner, Sri City

R Muthuraj, an Indian Trade Service has been appointed as the Development Commissioner, Sri City, with immediate effect.

Sri City, situated about 125 km from here, has a multi-product special economic, free trade and warehousing, domestic tariff zone and manufacturing cluster.

About 150 companies from 27 countries have set up base in campus, Tada.

replaces M K Shanmuga Sundaram, Development Commissioner, Madras Export Processing Zone, who was holding additional charge, a press release said.

Prior to taking up the new role, worked as Joint Director, of in Chennai and Kochi, the release added.
