The movie is almost a Downton Abbey reunion of sorts - starring Lily James, Jessica Brown Findlay, Matthew Goode and Penelope Wilton.
The impressive cast also boasts Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Katherine Parkinson and Tom Courtenay to name a few.
Based on the book of the same name, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society has been described as “a heartwarming love story” and “uplifting” by critics in its early reviews.

The film has an impressive 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes at present, ahead of its release in cinemas this weekend.
It’s been in the works for a long time: back in 2013 Kate Winslet and Kenneth Branagh were thought to be involved, but the claims were denied.
Set in 1946, it stars James as Juliet, a writer who receives a letter from a member of a mysterious literary club situated in Nazi-occupied Guernsey.
In a rare move, Netflix has purchased the international rights to screen the film in territories such as North America.
After the UK gets a cinematic release, it will come out theatrically in Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany before streaming in other areas.
James will next be seen in Mamma Mia sequel Here We Go Again, playing the younger version of Meryl Streep’s Donna.
She recently told PorterEdit of the job: "[Meryl] was just so cool. We had to do this dance together and she gave it all to me, she let me take my moment," she told PorterEdit.

Of her first encounter with the iconic actress, she recalled: "[Meryl] was singing this song in a chapel and it was so emotional.
“I was sat outside knowing I was about to meet her. And crying. And it was like: hold it together, Lily! It was too much!"
The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society is out on April 20 in the UK.
