NEW DELHI: With cash running out in ATMs in parts of the country, the opposition accused the
Modi government of mismanaging the economy and destroying the banking system, saying the dark days of demonetisation were back.
Congress president
Rahul Gandhi trained his guns at PM Modi, calling the cash crunch “terror of note ban” on Twitter. “Modi has destroyed the banking system of the country,” he told reporters in Amethi.
Lashing out at the government, CPM general secretary
Sitaram Yechury said the fresh cash crunch showed that notebandi’s aftershocks were still continuing. “ATMs were empty in November 2016. ATMs are empty now. And the only party flush with cash is the
BJP. People suffer,” he tweeted. TNN
