Andrew MacNeil singled for the Hatters' hit.
Joey Gonzalez (6-3) took the loss, giving up two runs on two hits in five innings.
The two teams play again at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

David Maberry had two hits but Daytona State (22-19, 7-14 Mid-Florida) lost at Santa Fe.

Jonathan India had two RBIs but host Florida (32-7) left 13 runners on base and lost to Jacksonville (25-13).
SOFTBALL
DSC 3rd in Mid Florida
DSC finished third in the Mid-Florida conference. Tina Velazquez gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and struck out seven in a complete game victory as the host Falcons won 6-3 against No. 4 seed Lake Sumter Community in the conference tournament. DSC will host Seminole State on Thursday in Game 1 of the best-of-three series that finishes Friday.

B-CU spring game set
B-CU's Maroon and Gold Spring Showcase is 2 p.m. Saturday at Municipal Stadium. Admission is free. Fans are encouraged to tailgate prior to the game, with autograph and photo opportunities with staff and players.

Morrison 5th in nation
Quamecha Morrison’s high jump of 5 feet, 11½ inches from last weekend at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational is one of nine B-CU marks in the nation’s top 50th. The junior is currently fifth in that event and also is on the 4x100 relay team along with Sade McCreath-Tardie, Jonina Brinson and Monae Nichols that’s in 40th at 44.79.
Nichols’ long jump (20-8) is the 16th-best in the nation, while Asia Joe (53.29) has the 31st-fastest 400-meter time and Lea Tshikaya’s 400 hurdle time of 59.36 is 43rd.
Kareem Fair’s 10.22 100 time at the UF Tom Jones Memorial on April 13 is the 18th-fastest time in the nation, while Jonathan Moore has the 22nd-fastest time in the 800 (1:48.89), Caleb Okwaraji is 31st in the 400 hurdles (51.55) and Jordan Williams 49th in the 400 (46.99).
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Stetson duo honored
Stetson (27-8) juniors Rachel Noble and Samantha Harris were named the ASUN Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week after going 4-0. Playing at the 3 seed, Noble and Harris won eight of their nine sets in four duals against North Florida and Jacksonville. On the season, Noble and Harris are 24-10 as a pair, including 9-1 against ASUN opponents.
WOMEN’S GOLF
ERAU 10th at SSC
Marlena Weatherly (79-80-79—238) earned 39th as Embry-Riddle finished 10th in the Sunshine State Conference Championship in Boca Raton. Megan Pollenz finished 42nd (84-81-76—241), followed by Kelly Harris (79-85-78—242), Daniela Pena (86-85-79—250) and Lauren Thielen (86-79-85—250).
