April 16 meeting
KEY ACTION Council approved legislation to hire TNT for asset management for the village water department as required by the Environmental Protection Agency.
First readings were heard on legislation to provide a $300 gift certificate for former police chief Dave Birker, and to remove the continuous fire levy for the village. Birker, who recently retired as police chief, is staying on as village administrator.
DISCUSSION It was reported applications are still being accepted for the position of police officer. New police chief Dennis Moody said he still is interviewing candidates for the position.
It was noted village yard sales will be held June 8 and 9.
UP NEXT Council will meet May 7 at 7 p.m. in village hall.
