JCPenney will celebrate 100 years in Alma with an event Saturday.

The store will host speakers, retired employees from past years, have giveaways and more during the event which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at its location at 1680 Wright Avenue. Mayor Greg Mapes, Sen. Judy Emmons, R-Sheridan, and Rep. James Lower, R-Cedar Lake, will also be in attendance.

It had been rescheduled due to weather the previous week.
