Temp soars; Talcher hottest at 42.6 deg

Blistering heat and high humidity on Tuesday threw normal life out of gear in many parts of the State. While 12 places recorded temperatures above 40 degree Celsius, three had temperatures above 42 degree.

Talcher recorded the highest temperature of the day of 42.6 degree Celsius. Titlagarh recoded temperature of 42.5 degree, Angul 42.1, Balangir 41.8 degree, Sambalpur 41.4 degree, Bhawanipatna 41 degree, Chandbali and Jharsuguda 40.8 degree, Bhubaneswar 40.6 degree, Hirakhud 40.3 degree, Dhenkanal 40.8 degree and Malkangiri 40.4 degree.

In the next 24 hours, Bhubaneswar would have partly cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 41.degree Celsius.
