Mumbai: Since Thursday, most of the Customer Facilitation Centres (CFC) in the city are down which has caused difficulties to Mumbaikars. The centres enable people to facilitate their requests and have their grievances addressed at an individual level. Rais Shaikh, corporator and Samajwadi Party group leader, has alleged that the CFC server failure will affect a lot of people.
“Most of the servers in the city are down since five days. People who want to go and pay any charges, take their licences or collect their birth certificates, will definitely be distressed,” Shaikh said. The centres are not able to assist grievances of the public due to server failure from the internet service provider, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). The MTNL officials were not available for comment.
