The Governor said that the country has a luminous tradition of self— sacrifice for the well-being of humanity.

This is a land of saints and the history is replete with instances of total dedication to the cause of the suffering humanity, he said while lauding the philanthropic initiatives undertaken by the centre.

“Being a nascent state, Uttarakhand faced some obstacles in infrastructure development due to its difficult terrain. While the state government is making all efforts to develop the state Hans Foundation is stepping in in the gaps in development, playing the role of a partner with the state government, especially in the spheres of education and health,” Governor said.
