5 Nepalese female journalists to climb Everest

Five Nepalese female journalists on Wednesday left on an expedition to climb Mount Everest, the world's highest peak.

The team, "First Women Journalists Expedition 2018", will climb the 8,848 metres high peak starting next month under the slogan "Unified Voice for Equity", reports

The team comprises of Television's Rojita Buddhacharya, a news agency's Rosha Basnet, News 24 Television's Priya Laxmi Karki, Megha Television's and freelancer

"We want to reach the top of the world together to raise awareness for equality, to inspire women and youths and to promote tourism in Nepal," Buddhacharya, the youngest among them, told Xinhua.
