No player would be deprived of Govt job under new sport policy: Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced that under the new sports policy of the State Government, no player would be deprived of government job.

Provision of reservation has been made for sportspersons in HCS/HPS and in Group-D posts, said he while speaking after honouring CWG 2018 gold medalist Manu Bhaker of Jhajjar, with a turban and a cheque for Rs 1.5 crore .

Manohar Lal also honoured Bajrang Punia of Jhajjar, who had won gold medal in wrestling and members of the family of Somveer who had won Bronze Medal in the Games.  The Chief Minister said such players as participated in the CWG but could not win medals too would be given cash award of Rs 7.5 lakh each. Out of the 38 players of Haryana who had participated in the Games, 22 had won medals, he added.
