Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said there is more than the adequate currency in circulation and it is available with the banks.

Mr Jaitley today reviewed the currency situation in the country amid reports of its shortage in some parts of the country.

In a tweet, he said temporary shortage caused by the sudden and unusual increase in some areas is being tackled quickly. There were media reports that several areas in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat are facing the shortage of currency for the last few weeks.
