Mercedes A-Class Sedan Set to Debut Next Week

Mercedes-Benz has announced a couple world premieres for the 2018 Beijing Motor Show.

Auto China 2018, which kicks off next week in Beijing, will host the debut of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan, which is eventually heading to North America. The German automaker promises the model will feature “a generous amount of space for the driver and front passenger,” along with its new MBUX infotainment system and driving assistance systems on par with the S-Class. The A-Class Sedan making its debut is being produced in China for China, but will give us a real good look at what to expect from the model for the North American market.

Along with the A-Class Sedan, Mercedes confirmed the world premiere of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury, a new concept inspired by Chinese influences. Along with the above teaser image showing the vehicle’s interior, the company said the concept shows how the strengths of an exclusive, high-end sedan and an SUV can be combined. The design team will also show off a furniture collection, which reflects the design idiom, form, and material mix of the show car.
