Indore: Online application window of CET may open on April 19


Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya on Monday announced plans to open online application window of common entrance test (CET) conducted for admissions in nearly a dozen teaching departments. “We are planning to release notification of CET this week itself,” CET organising committee chairman Anil Kumar said. He said that they may release the notification on April 19 and release the window of CET registrations on the same day.

Through CET, admissions are granted in 36 courses, including 12 UG courses and 24 PG courses, offered by Institute of Management Studies (IMS), International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS), Educational Multimedia Research Centre, School of Economics, School of Commerce, School of Data Sciences, School of Electronics, School of Life Sciences, School of Biochemistry, School of Biotechnology, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Law and School of Pharmacy.

This year, the university has planned to bring in nearly half a dozen more courses under the CET. The new courses include MBA (Rural Development), MBA (Public Administration & Policy), MBA (Entrepreneurship), MBA (Data Science) and two other courses.


Besides, the university has contemplating setting up exam centre at Dewas also. Last year the exam centres were setup in 26 cities including Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Bangalore, Kolkata, New Delhi, Allahabad etc. “Information about new additions to the CET will be in the notification,” Kumar said.

Take note: the university is planning to hold CET-2018 early this year. This is the plan is to hold CET on May 22. Last year, the exam was held on June 28.
