Chaudhury Abdul Ghafoor the managing director of the Pakistan Tourism Development and Corporation (PTDC) stated that introduce the National Tourism Policy which would have various aspects, including promotion, awareness, branding and marketing, and it will help the government to uplift existing infrastructure.
He further mentioned that the new policy will encourage the private sector to come up with innovative ideas to uplift the tourism industry.
To lure the foreign tourists the PTDC was striving hard to create a tourist friendly image of Pakistan according to Ghafoor.
The Pakistan’s civil aviation authority had earlier in January announced on –arrival visas of 24 different countries.
As per a PTDC report in 2017 the number of foreign tourists in Pakistan had tripled since 2013 and this was due to the country’s effort for restoring peace and stability.
