SIX, SIX and 100: Evin Lewis comes down the ground and hits Chahal over the long off boundary for a huge six. And then, he swept the ball in the air on the onside and the ball sailed over fine leg boundary. Lewis already has hit 6 sixes in the innings and is still going strong.

Four and Four: Rohit comes dancing down the track and swats the ball on the off side for a boundary towards extra cover. Then on the next ball, Rohit hits the ball on the up and over the cover fielder for back to back fours off Corey Anderson. Mumbai move into the 90s now.

SIX and 50: Evin Lewis takes the attack to Chahal and sweeps him for a huge six over mid wicket. With that, Lewis also notches up his first IPL fifty off just 33 deliveries. 9 runs came from the first Chahal over as Mumbai reach 85/2 in 9 overs.

Four: Another expensive over from Washington as he concedes 13 runs from it. After Rohit's six, Lewis hits a boundary on the last ball of the over and this is his 6th four of the innings. Washington has now conceded 32 runs off 2 overs.

SIX: Rohit comes dancing down the attack to Washington and hits the ball over the deep mid wicket boundary for his first six of the innings. Mumbai are scoring at a brisk pace at the moment and Lewis and Rohit are both hitting the ball at will.

Finally a good over from one of the Bangalore bowlers are going away for runs as Siraj gives away just three runs in the over. On the last ball of the over, Lewis crashed the ball through the covers but skipper Kohli made an excellent dive to save a certain four. Washington Sundar now comes onto the attack.

50: Back to back boundaries for Mumbai Indians and they go past the 50 run mark in the fifth over of the innings itself. First, wicket keeper De Kock let the ball go in between his legs for a boundary and then Lewis cut the ball past the point fielder for the second four of the over.

Four Four and Four: Washinton Sundar is going away for so many runs and skipper Kohli is not happy. After Rohit hit him for a boundary, Lewis cut him for a four on the offside. Then, Sundar bowled on the leg side and the ball rolled away untouched for a four. Next delivery also went towards the same region but this time Lewis had hit it. 18 runs of the over already.

Four: Washinton Sundar was introduced into the attack as soon as the fourth over and Rohit Sharma welcomed him with a boundary on the off-side. The ball went past the cover fielder like a flash as Rohit registers his second four of the day.

Three overs have been bowled now and Mumbai have reached 21/2. After watching two wickets go down early, the fans would have thought another collapse was on the cards but Lewis and Rohit are putting on a decent partnership now.

OUT: The perfect start the Bangalore could have hoped for as Umesh Yadav castles Suryakumar Yadav on the first ball of the match itself. The ball lands on middle and hits the off stump as the fans at the Wankhede are left stunned. Great start for RCB.

Reason for MI's Bad Form: The Mumbai Indians batting line-up, boasts of some pretty big names in the likes of Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya. Unfortunately, they are yet to live up to their expectations this season.  The troika together have managed to score only 96 runs amongst them, with no half centuries to boast of.  Indian opening batsman and local boy Rohit Sharma has been trying his luck at different positions in the batting order too as he stepped down the line-up to bat at number four in the previous game. The right hander though has totaled only 44 runs so far.

Changes: Quite a few changes in personnel for both the teams - Sarfaraz, Siraj and Anderson come in for Bangalore as Negi, Khejrolia and McCullum miss out. Meanwhile as for Mumbai, they have only one change as McClenaghan comes in place of Akila Dananjaya.

Mumbai are chasing their first win of the season while Bangalore haven't done great either as they have won only one this season. With two Indian cricket team stalwarts at helm of the respective two teams, MI and RCB will look to make amends in this clash. At the TOSS, Virat Kohli: "We are gonna have a bowl first. Looks a damp wicket, there was a damp cover since the evening. It's been a hard ground to defend. We want to give ourselves the best chance with the new ball. Nothing really, we did 70 percent things well last game, the 30 that didn't went really bad. We just need to get things right. Considering the pitch, we have three changes - Siraj, Anderson and Sarfaraz come in for McCullum, Khejrolia and Negi."

Rohit Sharma: "Looks a hard wicket, similar to the last two games and the surface shouldn't be changing much. Dew will be a factor but the guys have played here before and realise that. The second half will be tough, won't be easy. We need to be positive. It's a tough situation that we are in but we have done it before and I don't see any reason why cannot do it again. Won't be easy. Need to do the little things better. We have one change - McClenaghan comes in for Dananjaya."

Rohit says the dew will be a factor that his bowlers will have to keep in mind in the second innings. Kohli says 70% the team has done well and Rohit says time for the team to come out and do well. After suffering their second loss in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma felt that his side wasn't able to put a fighting total against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Three-time champion MI lost to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their opening game and were handed another defeat on Thursday when SRH pulled off a thrilling last-ball win. Chasing a modest 148, Hyderabad were going good, scoring 73/1 at a stage. However, after a batting collapse, Deepak Hooda's 32 off 25 balls followed by Billy Stanlake's boundary off the final delivery guided the hosts home.

However, since 2017, the Mumbai skipper has been having an inconsistent run with the bat. He has scored 359 runs at a strike rate of 119.26 in 18 innings averaging only 22.43. He hasn’t scored consecutive 30+ scores in the IPL since the 2017 season. He is without a 30+ score in his last 7 innings. His last 30+ score came against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2017 season. In the last 7 innings where he hasn’t scored a 30+ score, he has scored only 109 runs averaging 15.57.

PREVIEW MI vs RCB: Winless Mumbai Indians will pit their might against formidable Royal Challengers Bangalore in an adrenaline-charged Indian Premier League match on Tuesday. Both teams, with a plethora of explosive batsmen, are yet to find their feet in the T20 league and would be keen to gather some momentum with a victory here at the Wankhede Stadium. If MI have their problems to sort out, having lost at the death in all three games so far, RCB too have their own shortcomings to address with only one win in three games under their belt. Both the games held here so far have gone down to the wire and on both occasions MI have had their chances to go across the line and fumbled on the doorstep against Chennai Super Kings in the season opener and then Delhi Daredevils.
In between they had also lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first away game of the season, so that the three-time champions led by Rohit Sharma are placed at the bottom of the eight-team table. MI had been in worse situations before recovering poise to become eventual champions. RCB started off on the losing note away from home to Kolkata Knight Riders, brought their campaign on track immediately with a convincing victory over Kings XI Punjab at home and then lost a high-scoring game to Rajasthan Royals at home.
RCB's bowlers, especially Umesh Yadav who had broken the back of KXIP innings with a three-wicket burst in one over, went for plenty against the Royals who set up the highest total so far of the season, 217, by riding on Sanju Samson's blistering 45-ball 92 not out. After the pace trio's profligacy RCB need to set right their bowling woes as MI possess a strong batting line up that threatened to score over 200 in their previous game before the Daredevils bowlers restricted them below that threshold. Barring leggie Yuzvendra Chahal, who bowled brilliantly to grab 2 for 22, the other RCB bowlers had an off day against the Royals. But on the positive side was the encouraging return to form of captain Virat Kohli who struck a quick-fire 57.
With a batting line-up boasting of Brendon McCullum, Kohli and AB de Villiers, no target will look insurmountable for the visitors, and three-time champions MI will be aware of this. MI's batting, on the other hand, failed to rocket off in the first two games and when it clicked the bowlers lost the plot. The move to promote local guy Suryakumar Yadav has been a success but their best batsman, skipper Rohit, is yet to make a big contribution with the bat. The Pandya brothers Hardik and Krunal along with giant West Indian Kieron Pollard too have not made big impacts in the first three games.
Rookie leg spinner Mayank Markhande has been their most successful bowler with good economy rate along with Mustafizur Rehman, but Jasprit Bumrah has also not lived up to his tag of the world's best white ball bowler. MI have replaced injured Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins with New Zealander Adam Milne and will be looking up to a comprehensive combined show to avoid a fourth straight defeat of the season.
