JAMAU (AMETHI): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that the Modi government was not letting him speak in the Parliament.

"Desh mein jo chal Raha hai, Mai uske bare mein bat karna chahta hu. Magar Modi sarkar mujhe lok sabha mein bolne ka maulana nahi de rahi hai. Agar Modi ji mujhe 15 minutes bolne dein toh, Modi ji Desh ke samne khade nahi ho payenge (Modi government is not allowing me to speak in the parliament. If he gives me 15 minutes to speak in the lok sabha, Modi ji will have to look for corners)," Rahul said after inaugurating several developmental works funded by his MPLAD.

Commenting on the issue of cash crunch in ATMs, Rahul said, "inhi achche dinon ki bat ki thi Modiji ne. Yehi hai unka ache dinon ka wada (Probably Modi ji was talking about these good days. The crunch speaks for Modi's promise of achche din).

He added that it was a shame that people have to queue up for their own money and cash flow has come down in the economy.

Stating that Modi's ignorance towards the economic crisis being faced by the common man raised doubt over his intention which deepened further following his government's inaction against people like Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.

"Modi ji ne nivrav Modi aur Mehul Choksi ke mamle kya Kia? Modi ji unko itni achchi tarah se jante hain ki unko unke pahle Naam se bulate hain.magar woh unhe nahi pakad rahe (Rahul said that Modi ji knows Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi so well that he calls them by their first name. But he is not catching hold of them)," Rahul said.

Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to Amethi.
