Bhopal: A meeting of BJP Core-Committee will be held on Tuesday after a brief gap of one week amidst rising tension in the ruling party over the upcoming Assembly elections. A discussion on strategy for Assembly elections will take place in the meeting. Thereafter meeting of party’s state-level office bearers will be held to discuss preparations for upcoming elections.
The conduct of two meetings at a very short interval after a gap of nine months is seen as a beginning of taking collective decision in the state. In a meeting of RSS functionaries held recently, it came to the fore that the decisions in the state were being taken solely by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The central leadership of BJP has asked Chouhan to take collective decisions.
In the meeting of core-committee, discussion on decline in image of MLAs in their constituencies and preparing a team for elections will take place. The meeting would be attended by national organisation general secretary Ramlal and state in-charge Vinay Sahastrabudhey. It is also expected that decision on new state president of the party may be taken after the meeting.
