Lack of resolution

Sir — This refers to the report, “Army to make Pak pay as toll mounts” (April 15). It is depressing that similar reports have been appearing in the media off and on about our determination to make Pakistan ‘pay’ for its criminal, aggressive acts on the border, causing casualties to civilians and military personnel, including officers. India’s surgical strikes that happened in 2016 is being repeatedly cited. How is it that the bully still continues to persist in its murderous forays without hindrance? Does it do any credit to the world’s fourth largest Army’s image? Unfortunately, even when Pakistan gives us no indication of resolving our mutual problems peacefully, we have some disturbing elements who are urging the Government to resume talks with our hostile neighbour.
