Judy (Stewart) Mooney, 76, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 24, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William and Bessie (Klien) Stewart. She was a retired cashier working for the New Brighton School District cafeteria and was a member of the American Legion Post #19 and the United Croatian Club, both of New Brighton. She loved her card clubs with friends and was well known to many as "Mama." Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Leroy "Fats" Mooney; one son, Randy Mooney, Monaca; three daughters, Lori Spickerman (Ken Haaf), Judy Albanese (John) and Beth Anderson, all of New Brighton; eight grandchildren, Nicole Mooney, Adam Spickerman (Megan), Brian Anderson (Lacee), Andrew Spickerman, Todd Anderson, Alex Anderson (Alisha), Michael Albanese and Jenna Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Cameron, Arianna, Brilee, Aleyah, Amare and Rowann; two brothers, John D. "Jack" Stewart, Patterson Twp. and William "Bill" and Nancy Stewart, W. Columbia, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews and their families. Friends will be received Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Thursday friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Nazarene, 417 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating. Entombment will take place Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Rochester.
