?An Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawan?today allegedly?committed?suicide?by shooting himself with his service rifle at its camp in Chhattisgarh?s?naxal-affected Rajnandgaon district, police said.
"He was deputed as a driver and he shot himself inside a car parked within the camp. He was rushed to a hospital where medical authorities declared him dead on arrival," the SP said.
The official said that Singh was a native of Jalgaon district in neighbouring Maharashtra.
"The reason behind the act is not yet known. A case has been registered and further investigations are underway," he said.
Yesterday, a CRPF assistant sub inspector had allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the in the state?s Bilaspur district.
