Searchers have found an elderly man who was overdue on a snowmobile trip in southwest Newfoundland.
The RCMP said the man from Isle aux Morts didn't return to his cabin Sunday evening from a ice-fishing trip. He was first reported missing at 7 p.m. Sunday.
RCMP have confirmed he was found in good health, but was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. Further information on the rescue is expected Tuesday.
A post on social media from Stephenville Search and Rescue also confirmed the man was found.
He was the ninth snowmobiler to be reported missing in the province in recent days.
Seven were rescued on Northern Peninsula after being caught in a blizzard on Saturday, and a 19-year old from Labrador West also spent a cold night in the woods over the weekend before being located in a warming hut.
