Millions of eggs are being recalled following a salmonella outbreak linked to a North Carolina farm. Eggs from the plant were shipped to restaurants and supermarkets in nine states, including New York.

Eggs potentially tainted with salmonella include those under the Great Value name, a brand carried by Walmart, and Crystal Farms, carried by Target. The nearly 207 million affected eggs  were supplied by Rose Acre Farms of Seymour, Ind., from its North Carolina farm. Rose Acre is voluntarily recalling them out of "an abundance of caution," the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

The affected eggs are from plant number P-1065 with the Julian date range of 011 through date of 102 printed on either the side portion or the principal side of the carton or package.

Other affected brands include Nelms, Waffle House, Coburn Farms, Country Daybreak, Sunshine Farms, Food Lion,  and Glenview.
