Longmont's due for a partly sunny day today with a high near 76 and calm winds picking up to 5 mph to 8 mph this afternoon, according to National Weather Service forecasters.
Tonight's low is expected to drop to about 42.
Temperatures on Tuesday should drop a bit, topping out at a high of 61 under mostly sunny skies, as winds range from 25 mph to 30 mph with gusts as high as 41 mph.
Wednesday's forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 60, while Thursday should see temperatures reach 64.
The week's first chance of precipitation comes Thursday night and Friday, when showers are likely, along with a possible thunderstorm, and temperatures are expected to reach a high of 50.
That rain could turn to snow after 1 a.m. Saturday, and Saturday's forecast calls for a slight chance of rain and snow showers, with a high near 49.
Sunny skies are expected to return on Sunday, along with temperatures in the low 60s.
