Cecelia D. McNear, 92, of Rochester, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 15, 2018. Born October 22, 1925, in Monaca, Cecelia was the daughter of the late John and Mary Salamay. Cecelia was a loving homemaker and a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish, Rochester. She was also a member of the Christian Mother's and a volunteer for the Rochester Salvation Army Food Bank for over 70 years. Surviving Cecelia are one daughter and a son-in-law, Diana L. and Ernie Wilson; three granddaughters, Lori Viscuso, Tina Cole and Dawn and Gary Porto; two grandsons, Mike and Cheryl Wilson and Richard Craig; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsea, Brianne, Hunter, Hailey, Kelsey and Riley; and several nieces and nephews. Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McNear, Sr.; a son, James McNear, Jr.; two brothers, Anthony Salamay and Ernest "Mike" Salamay; four sisters, Stella Puppich, Josephine Olash, Amelia Ciganik and Helen Dudziak; grandson, Scott Wilson; great-grand-daughter, Courtney Wilson; and grandson-in-law, Tony Viscuso. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Parish, Rochester, Pa.
