Ujjain: A meeting of the Brahmin community was held at Hardeniya Palace, Rajaswa Colony to chalk out programmes to be held on Parshuram Jayanti. The meeting took decision to take out a grand procession from Mahakaleshwar Temple on Wednesday at 6pm. The meeting was presided over by Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Samaj president Pt Surendra Chaturvedi.
In the meeting, Ghanshyam Hardeniya, Pt Jiyalal Sharma, Nisha Tripathi, Rameshwar Dube, Vijay Vyas, Prakash Sharma, Shivendra Tiwari and Dr Prerna Manana were the special guests. Women, children and elderly persons of the community will join the rally, said Chaturvedi.
Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Samaj divisional head JP Hardeniya, Abhijeet Dube, Ambrish Tiwari, Manish Pathak, Pradeept Tiwari, Yashwant Bhargava, Vishal Rajoriya, Ritesh Vyas, Pramod Vyas, Atul Raina and Pt Ravi Shukla gave suggestions for arranging various cultural programmes to mark Parshuram Jayanti.
Singhpuri Mahilal Mandal formed
The women wing of Brahmin community also held a meeting to take decision on joining the rally to be taken out on Parshuram Jayanti. The meeting was presided over by Sheila Joshi Pathak. Taurna Joshi, ShobhaTrivedi, Savita Dibbewala, Pratibha Trivedi, Kiran Trivedi, Pratishtha Dube, Chitralekha Sharam, Anju Joshi and many women were present during the meeting. Corporator Maya Trivedi said that Singhpuri Mahila Mandal group was formed on this occasion. Taruna Joshi was elected as president of the group while Sheila Pathak was its vice president and Manju Vyas and Anju Vyas were elected as secretaries.
Brahmin comminty members of Nagziri hold a meeting
Functionaries of Brahmin Community Pt Girish Pathak and Maya Trivedi said that a meeting was held in Nagziri area to join the rally taken out by members of the community. The meeting was attended by mentor DP Sharma, president Sanjay Trivedi, Sanjay Joshi,Vickky Dube and other members.
Brahm Jagaran Yatra to be held on Tuesday
Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Yuva Parishad will hold ‘Brahm Jagaran Yatra ahead of Parshuram Jayanti on Tuesday at 4.30pm from Bada Ganesh temple near Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. The ‘yatra’ will culminate at Shaheed Park, said Pt Akash Azad Tiwari of the parishad.
