Nagpur: A leopard entered a residential locality in Isasani of Nagpur on Sunday morning, causing panic in the area. The animal was trapped in the bathroom of Parag Bayaskar’s residence in the MIDC colony.

It took forest officials eight hours to tranquillise and capture the leopard. No one was injured in the incident.

“The cat was trapped in the bathroom. There was only one window and the animal was sitting along the wall beneath the window. It was very difficult to aim the dart. After two darts missed, rescue team member Amol Gawner successfully tranquillised the leopard at 4.40 p.m. The operation lasted about eight hours,” a statement issued by the forest department said.
