WWE news: Vince McMahon sees THIS Smackdown talent as a future major player
WWE CHAIRMAN Vince McMahon expects Baron Corbin to become a major player for the company in the near future.
According to Wrestling Inc, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claim that out of all the non-main event WWE talent McMahon sees the most potential in Corbin.
Rumours suggest WWE had big plans for The Lone Wolf after last year’s WrestleMania 33 as they were expected to change his music and give him a big push.
However, none of it ever happened and the ex-NXT star only experienced some lacklustre title wins.
Corbin joined the main roster at WrestleMania 32 when he won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal but that did nothing to push him to the main event.

He then won the annual Money in the Bank Ladder Match but suffered a failed cash-in against then WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.
Corbin managed to bounce back by winning the US Championship from AJ Stylist at Hell in a Cell but lost it soon after to Dolph Ziggler.
The last two WrestleManias haven’t been too kind to him as he competed in the pre-show.

The ex-US Champion failed to beat then Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose two years ago and was the last to be eliminated at the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal by this year’s winner ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy.
Hardy had helped from Bray Wyatt who came back to form a tag team with his old rival.
Things may be about to change however as Corbin has been linked with a big Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules against Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Until then, The Lone Wolf is booked to compete in the first ever 50-Man Royal Rumble Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.
