Audi RS 5 Coupe launched in India

Audi has launched the second generation Audi RS 5 Coupé in India and it is the first model to feature the new RS design philosophy in India. The design is inspired by the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO and this includes the sweeping lines over the wide wheel arches. The sporty coupe also boasts of a panoramic sunroof, additional air inlets at the front and the rear and a sportier looking single frame grille that is wider and flatter. The Matrix LED headlights are standard and so are the rear dynamic indicators.

Audi RS 5 Coupe – What you need to know

 

Powering the Coupe is an all-new 2.9 V6 TFSI bi-turbo engine that produces 450 hp and delivers a solid 600 Nm of torque. This engine is capable of taking the RS 5 from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and it can hit a top speed of 250 km/h. The RS 5 gets the quattro system as standard with power going to all four wheels in order to deliver exemplary driving dynamics. The eight speed tiptronic transmission has been specially tuned to offer a sporty drive and you also get multiple drive modes to suit your driving style. Add to that, the RS5 is touted to be 17 per cent more efficient than its predecessor and delivers an efficiency of 10.8 kmpl.

The new RS 5 comes with an interior that boasts of flawless workmanship and use of high quality materials. All the creature comforts you can imagine are on board including a new MMI control, the Audi virtual cockpit and a smartphone interface. In terms of safety, the RS 5 comes with six airbags, park assist, ABS, EBD and ESC. The new RS 5 is priced at INR 1,10,65,000.
