SURAT: Police caught an e-ticketing agent for forging railway minister Piyush Goyal’s letterhead on Sunday. Rashmikant P Patel (42), was caught by a team led by deputy superintendent of police Rajesh Pandey.
Divisional railway manager of Kota had received a fax and WhatsApp message two days ago on railway minister’s fake letterhead asking for four sleeper class tickets from Kota to Patna in a train. Upon inquiry, it was found that the PNR of the tickets sent was generated in Surat. A complaint was registered there and later transferred to Surat.

Pandey and his team reached Rashmikant Patel’s house. He had generated Piyush Goyal’s letterhead from Google and had it edited on Photoshop. Pandey said, “We have arrested him under The Railways Act and will produce him in court. We will request the court for his remand to know since how many years he has been doing this.”
