Inhuman! Two-day-old girl flushed down toilet in Kerala clinic, parents absconding


A shocking incident has come to light, where a body of two-day-old girl child was recovered from the toilet of a house in Kerala. The girl’s tiny body was recovered only when the plumbers tried clear a clogged toilet at the clinic of Dr Abdul Rahman in Palakkad’s Malappuram.

The incident came to light when a woman who worked at the clinic had complained about the clogged commode. On Friday, the plumbers notice a ‘ball-like’ object in the passage. To their horror, they discovered the body of the baby girl, which was not decomposed yet. The body of the newborn, her placenta still attached, was stuck in the duct.

The police suspect that the baby’s parents had brought the girl to the clinic on the pretext of consultation and flushed the baby down the toilet. The cops are also not letting go the possibility, that mother could have delivered her inside the washroom, as the placenta was intact, reported NDTV.


“There wasn’t much of a foul smell emanating from the toilet. The body hadn’t decomposed when we recovered it. But the baby’s placenta was intact and there was blood inside the commode. Seeing the colour of the blood, the domestic worker mistook it for muddy water,” the police told the News Minute.

Dr Abdul Rahman also filed a complaint and based on the complaint the police filed a case against the newborn’s parents, who are said to be absconding. The police are also going through records of patients who recently visited the clinic. In the meanwhile, the body of the baby was sent to nearby Thrissur medical college for the post-mortem procedure.
