Documents revealed by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) suggests that Apple had designed a gold iPhone X.
The design was part of the documents submitted to the FCC in September 2017. Every device communication manufacturer is mandated to share the details of their products with the FCC before the launch. Apple had used the gold coloured iPhone X in the documents.
The images are now in public domain as the 180 days confidentiality period on the photos has now lapsed. MacRumors was the first to reveal the images.
The pictures which outline the phone from various angles show that the gold colour of the phone is similar to the colour used for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
