After the highs of winning medals for the country at the Commonwealth Games, four Indian wrestlers are now in focus for wrong reasons.

Mail Today has learnt that two male wrestlers tried to pass on their accreditation cards to "friends" in Gold Coast so that they could enter the Games Village for a "fun tour."

The incident has been seen as a major security breach, as a result of which four wrestlers have been grilled by cops and security personnel in Gold Coast.

It is learnt the Vikram Sisodia, chef de mission of the Indian contingent, was also questioned. At a time when Indian athletes have made news for wrong reasons as well, news of wrestlers indulging in such acts is seen as "preposterous."

Sources told Mail Today the Indian wrestling federation is aware of the matter and will look into it when the team returns.

MEDALS TALLY

There is no news on what action the security personnel will take against the offending wrestlers. A censure is very much possible and this could even affect their chances of again entering Australia. It should not come as a surprise if fines are levied.
