This new company links buyers, sellers, and potential tenants with a variety of users in African countries across the continent.
Twelve years ago, Zimbabwean-born Peaceful Chimbwanda was based in the USA and trying to buy property in his home country. He found it difficult and frustrating to be stuck with little or no direct contact with a network of Zimbabwean agents, just because he was in a different country.
How the company came about
Chimbwanda was desperately trying to locate available Zimbabwean properties from his living room in the United States and realised it was an almost impossible task as nothing was online for him to look at.
In his frustration, Chimbwanda realised that he could not have been the only person struggling with this issue, and he assumed the frustration extended beyond just Zimbabwean properties.
The now UK-based entrepreneur saw a gap in the market and waited until he was settled in Britain to turn the idea he had developed four years prior into a business.
What role does the company play to its target market?
The company, now called Propertyend.com, is a one-stop property market. It can be seen as a virtual placing of all African estate agents and developers on one street.
